I want to thank you all for your understanding of my failure to carry on this. I enjoy running the occassional campaign but I had imagined that having a prewritten adventure path would mean that it would be easy to run (as in uncomplicated and requiring little more than a read-through of the material before each chapter).
Unfortunately I found that it still requires several hours of preparation each week to decipher and stay familiar with the complicated encounters and hordes of custom critters and NPCs. I think I could edit things to be more palatable, but that would take just as much time. When the end result of such effort is still just a mediocre storyline and meaningless slog though fights for the sake of fighting, it's impossible to stay motivated.
On the bright side, I have learned that I do not want to run a D&D campaign of any sort, and that is good to know. I also found that I really prefer a paper product to a digital one - especially when running at the table. Lastly, I've seen exactly how few free hours I have now that I am in grad school full time (and that's not just because of Warhammer :) ).
Still, I'll keep an eye out for something to run eventually. Savage Worlds or Shadowrun or StarWars Saga are the most likely candidates, if only they would put out some quality adventures.

Thank you for giving it a go. It helped float us through a couple months of gaming doldrums at the very least. You did a very good job with what you had to work with, but as you say, the amount of prep work it took you to make them enjoyable was hardly more than it would take to create your own campaign.
I think that I, too, am over the hill as far as running D&D, aside from an occasional lark here and there. The only exception might be something using the Iron Heroes material, but as far as traditional, high-fantasy D&D, I think I've had my fill as a GM.
That calls for a Wilhelm Scream!
