The Stupid, It Burns

Ok, judging by our thread in the other section, it seems that the decision is to go ahead with this Tuesday but do board games instead and then start LoF next week.

With that in mind, would someone else be willing to host tomorrow night?

We started our bathroom remodeling project, and that combined with Christmas and travels means our basement is in a bit of dissaray and I could use another week to get it back in shape.

(And Dan, I owe you information about my character which I will get to you hopefully very soon. It has been an insane couple of weeks, but I will tell you all about it at the game.)

My house is always open for gaming. Perhaps I can even enlist one of you to help me install and set up a new hard drive. Question: do hard drives still need to use jumpers to select their settings? I haven't installed one in forever and neither my old HD or my new one has jumpers included. New one is a SATA drive, old one is PATA. My mobo supports both, but I have no experience with these newer drives.

Shall I bring Cities & Knights for a second round? I'll bring RISK2210 if that's what people want to play - or we can do something completely different. I'd like to avoid hauling over games we're not going to use though, so let's see if we can reach a consensus before we meet.

Also, I saw a comercial where Dominoes was offering 2 topping Mediums for $5.99. That might be worth looking into for something (slightly) different.

Cities and Knights was a lot of fun last time. Hmm, and Rob WASN'T there last time, either...

I love Risk but it takes so damn long to play, and I suspect there will be a fair amount of kibitzing going on (Rob and I are going to hash out our LoF characters for one), so I would say either Catan or something else low-impact.

Pizza Hut has some deal for any large pizza (I think up to 3 toppings) for $10.

I'm in for any or all board gaming... I agree a game I know is better than one I don't so I can continue working through character issues.

Pizza... what ever is fine... if it's the 2 topping thing put me down for green peppers & black olives.

otherwise somthng generic

Well obviously if I'm there for a C&K game, then it will be even MORE fun this time. Esepcially if we define fun as being me kicking all of your butts.

Any pizza, any topping, is really ok with me. (And thanks Dan for hosting this week).

I will not be able to be there.

Its been a while for me too, but as far as Hard drives go, there should be a jumper on the back marked 'CS" for cable Select. It is usually right next to where the cable plugs in. Just make sure that jumper is selected and the computer will decide. That is still the way they do it as far as I know.
