The PCs spent nearly three weeks exploring the northern Greenbelt. They discovered the lost temple to Erastil, haunted by the spirit of a cursed priest in the shape of a grizzly bear, a pair of good-natured fey in the woods, Bokken the eccentric hermit and potion brewer, and the undead spirit of ferryman Davik Nettles, who demanded the body of his murderer, the Stag Lord, before any could cross the Shrike River.

All uncovered hexes are explored.

Hey fellas, I caught a cold this weekend. I think I will be fine for Tuesday, although my voice will be rough and I'll need some tissues at hand, but just wanted to warn anybody who can't afford to get sick to stay the hell away from me at the table.

Okay, ready to continue the sandbox adventure! We should get a lot covered this week: lots of small encounters but nothing huge (unless you guys really go off on a tangent...and that would never happen).

Reminder: Next week I am out of town, and Rob is out the week after that. We will continue the week Rob is out unless anyone else can't make it, and we can play at my place unless Ryan would prefer us to play at his so he doesn't have to haul the equipment. Either is fine with me.

Des, don't let me forget to have you roll a few mapmaking checks when we start this week; I totally forgot in the excitement of the kobold hunt You have two you can roll on from last week, one explored, one not. You guys haven't left the hex with the mite lair in it yet so you haven't had a chance to roll for that one, but you will very shortly after we begin, I would think.

Hmm. Well I like both campaigns so it's hard to choose. CoT has been off the longest so I maybe it would be best to get back into that. I'll be happy with either though.

Why thanks Des. It was the most fun time I've had GMing in ages. I'm still amazed at how much of an ass beating you brought on those mites. Hopefully future encounters will be a tad more challenging. I can't wait for you guys to uncover more of the map and unlock all the secrets it holds. It was great fun seeing what you guys did with the freedom to explore--you always surprise me. Great characters, great builds. I can't wait till next week.

Dave, in the Advanced Player's Guide there is a racial variant for half elves that let's them get a +2 bonus on all Will saves. You had mentioned a while back a desire to find a trait that ups Will saves, so I thought you might want to know. The catch: you have to give up the Skill Focus bonus feat to get it. Feel free to use it if you wish.

Here's a spell specifically for Erastil I found in the book Gods & Magic of Golarion:

Deadeye’s Arrow
School: evocation [electricity]

Casting Time: 1 standard action
Components V, S, M (1 arrow)
Range Medium (100 ft. + 10 ft./level) or see text
Effect: arrow of electricity
Duration: instantaneous or 1 round (see text)
Saving Throw: none
Spell Resistance yes

Description
You create an arrow made of crackling electricity, which you may use for one of two effects.
Attack: You may throw the arrow up to Medium range or fire it from a bow up to the bow’s maximum range. Either use is a ranged touch attack. The arrow deals electricity damage equal to 1d6 +1 point per level (maximum +5).

Beacon: You throw or fire the arrow straight up. Well, we can always forgo the Craft (cartography) thing. That was just a little mechanism I built in to give you guys extra cash and to encourage exploration. It's not written into the module anywhere. Survival seems like a no brainer with an Erastil priest, and Knowledge (nature) will be very useful too. It's tough, I agree. Would you consider lowering your Con to 12 and bumping your Int to 12?
